Bathinda: 21 February, 2018: Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya (Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University) Bathinda will celebrate International women’s day in the city by organising a week long events from March 4th to 11th. This was disclosed by Shivani Behn spokesperson of the organisation.
Shivani Behn disclosed that the organisation have planned various events to observe the International day women’s day. She said “we have pinpointed on female domestic servants to launch the women’s day programme. We are planning to honour few of such women maid servants who have shown their dedication towards their children despite facing tough conditions in daily life”. The aim of the event is to inspire other women maids to adopt such ethics and bring up their children in good atmosphere, she said.
Shivani Behn told “We have roped in few social workers and NGOs to make aware this ignored section of the society. They will be motivated regarding health related issues, family care especially studies of their children and various schemes launched by the government which promote education for weaker people of the society”.
Shivani said “We need to make aware these maid servants the need of education for their children and moral values. Childhood is when the morals take strong root and help the child grow into a responsible and righteous person”. Life has its ups and downs, but a morally strong person stays upright, without giving in to pressures or enticement of any kind, said Shivani Behn.
Brahma Kumaris is the largest spiritual organisation in the world led by women. It was the founder, Prajapita Brahma Baba, who chose to put women in front from the very beginning, and it has set Brahma Kumaris apart on the stage of the world's religions and spiritual organisations.
