Sangrur adopts online registration based NGDRS Software

In a major people-friendly initiative, Deputy Commissioner Sangrur, Mr Ghanshyam Thori on Monday launched a Cloud-based National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS), here, enabling online registration at the local Sub Registrar office.
Under this new initiative, the first land registry done was of Balwinder Singh, son of Sampuran Singh, a resident of Sangrur.
While providing information, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori stated that with the help of this portal, residents can seek appointment for the land record registration.
Besides making the process of registration very simple, citizen friendly with full proof cyber security in place, it will reduce the hardship of the citizens by reducing their physical visits to the various revenue and registration offices.
He said that with the help of this software, appointment would be given only between 9 am to 5 pm and Adhaar card is mandatory for this process. He said that now the residents would not have to face any problem for getting a copy of their land registries as the copies would be provided because they have been stored online in the Sub Registrar office.
On the occasion SDM Sangrur Avikesh Gupta, DRO Gagandeep Singh, Nayab Tehsildar Sandeep Singh and DSM Harsimran Singh were also present.
