Ferozepur, June 16, 2018: Perhaps it is the first time in the history of century-old Orphans House in Ferozepur that the local MLA Parminder Singh Pinki, had taken the inmates to Fun Island – Entertainment Park – 35 KMs from Ferozepur for amusement, in air-conditioned buses.
The inmates enjoyed the special dishes besides enjoying the swimming, water pool, swings, 5 D Cinema etc.
For about three hours, the inmates enjoyed at the park and later, Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA arranged a dinner for them.
Speaking on this occasion, Pinki said, it suddenly came to his mind that everyone goes for enjoying the summer holidays according to the budget along with their kinds within or out of India but the inmates of Arya Anathalaya – Orphans House in Ferozepur continue to remain in the campus in hot summer days and a tour for them at a nearby place so that they may not feel loneliness.
Among the female inmates – Sarita, Bhumika, Kiran, Chandni and other girls said, they have never enjoyed like today in their life as they remained confined to the campus. They could never think of travelling in AC bus, fun at Fun Island as they get their food from the local donations.
The same feeling was expressed by male inmates – Samsun, Hindu, Jaglan, Shankar and others. They are residing in the campus for the last eight years and this is the first time that they have been taken out of the campus for entertainment.
They said they had been made to feel by local MLA that someone is there to look after them. They prayed for long life of Parminder Singh Pinki and countless blessings.
