Fatehgarh Sahib, August 19, 2018: The district police claimed to have arrested two peddlers and recovered110 intoxicant injections, 70 bottles of intoxicant syrup and 48 bottles of smuggled liquor.
Harpal Singh SP (Investigation) said that Sandeep Kaur ASI Badali Ala Singh Police Station had erected naka at village Kale Majra and during checking she recovered 110 injections and 70 bottles of intoxicant syrup from a man identified a Manvinder Singh alias Monu resident of village Kamali and used to supply intoxicants and injections in rural areas.
SP said that Amloh police got secret information that one Baljit Singh resident of village Majri Araian is involved in the sale of illegal liquor in the area. He brings liquor from Chandigarh and sells at higher rates in the area. He said police conducted raid at his house and recovered 48 bottles of liquor meant for sale in Chandigarh only.
He said both the peddlers were booked under NDPS and Excise Act.
