Fatehgarh Sahib, January 08, 2019: Deputy Commissioner Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon, while presiding over the monthly review meeting of district officials here today expressed great concern over the illegal encroachments on the Govt. land in connivance with certain officials. He said encroachments will not be tolerated at any cost and directed the SDMs and other officials to immediately launch a drive to remove the illegal encroachments from Govt. lands. He warned that if any officials tried to sabotage on one or the other pretext to help the encroacher will be taken to task.
He directed SDMs and Executive Officer Municipal Council Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib to remove all temporary shops on set up on both sides of roads from Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib to Gurudwara Jyoti Swarup Sahib. He directed SDMs and Executive officers to conduct surprise checking to maintain cleanliness in towns.
He directed the officials to redress the grievances of the people and get their work done with in stipulated period as per the provisions of Right to Service Act, so that they may not face unnecessary harassment in Govt. offices and to arrange camps under MG Sarbat Vikas Yojna scheme to ensure that the benefits of all Govt. sponsored schemes reach at grass root level.
He directed X-EN PWD to ensure quality of the repair and strengthening works of new link road in the district and to strengthen the berms. He directed the Water Supply officials to ensure that all water tube wells in rural and urban areas are in working condition.
He said 2.5 Lakh trees will be planted to celebrate 550 anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji under "Punjab Green Campaign" with the help of MANREGA workers. He directed the officials to immediately submit the completion certificates of respective works. He directed District Education officer to ensure that students get clean drinking water and get it tested. He directed the Civil Surgeon to ensure that specialist doctors must attend the OPD daily, so that the patients may not suffer.
