Nawanshahr, February 14, 2019: Deputy Commissioner Vinay Bublani today visited Rayat Group of Institutions Rail Majra to mobilize students and unemployed youth for upcoming mega job fair on February 20 at ITI Naawanshahr. He said that around 39 companies would offer 2700 jobs to the youth eligible for the employment during the job fair.
Exhorting the students to avail maximum benefits of the ensuing job fair, the Deputy Commissioner said that the mega job camp being organized by the state government under ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar scheme’ would open new vistas of employment for the youth of the district. He said that this was a noble initiative by the state government to provide job to every youth and that too at their doorsteps.
Terming these job fairs beneficial for realizing the dream of state government to provide job to every unemployed youth of the state, he said that the youth must avail maximum benefit of these job fairs, which would be instrumental in opening new avenues of employment for them. He said that these job fairs aimed at making the youth an active partner in socio-economic growth of the state by offering employment opportunities to them.
Giving tips to the students for interview and counseling, the deputy commissioner said that it did not matter to go outside for employment. In fact, it would pave the way for further opportunities and we can get better jobs after gaining some experience by opting first employer. Insisting on skill and better education, he said that by attaining a required skill one could get life full with dignity and pride.
He added that so far DBEE has provided jobs to 1640 youth of the district while over 8200 registrations. Calling upon the students to make aware of the unemployed youth about the job fair too, he asked them to visit District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise for any kind of assistance in getting job or career guidance from Monday to Saturday.
Earlier, District GoG head, Col. Chuhar Singh apprised the students of various job avenues with Defense services besides giving them inputs on communication skills and personality development. Counselor from DBEE, Sukhjit Singh also interacted with the students regarding the various services rendered by DBEE under Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission.
