Teachers at government schools are leaving no stone unturned to procure better results in the ensuing Punjab School Education Board this time. While under the ‘Parho Punjab Parhao Punjab’, new teaching techniques, activities, simplified teaching- learning material, model question papers in different subjects have already been provided to the teachers and the students to prepare for the Board examination in a well planned manner, the most of the teachers have also been exerting their nerves to devise new innovations to achieve the target of cent percent results in the government schools. The teachers in the government schools are higly motivated and have accepted the challenge with zest. They have not only been taking extra classes in the morning and evening during working days but also on Sundays and other holidays. Moreover, the teachers have established rapport with the students as well as their parents by constituting Whats App groups to keep an eye over the study routine of the students.
Calling Whats App a boon if used wisely, Bandana Puri, Principal Government Senior Secondary School, Khothran, said, "Teachers have been asked to properly guide students during school and after school in order to achieve better results. Moreover, teachers make calls to students in the early morning to wake them up and even students are free to call teachers till 11 in the night".
Paramjit Kaur, Principal, Govt. Senior SEcondary School, Urapar, said that the all the teachers in her had been taking extra classes of X and XII students. After school hours students who have difficulty especially in Maths or science subject stay back attend extra classes and even we had made a list of weak students and special attention is being paid on them", she added.
"A number of dedicated teachers of Government Schools in Banga Block have been taking extra classes.The teachers are constantly in touch with the students and their parents. They make calls to them on their parents phone and ask them if they are facing any difficulty in any of the subject or are properly following the study routine", said Surjit Singh, Block Mentor ( English) while adding that the information technology had given new dimension to the teaching as well as establishing cordial relation with students and their parents. The personal rapport with students and parents has not only been proving boon for the teachers to solve academic difficulties of the students but also relaxing their examination stress
Almost same response has been received from the Varinder Singh Banga, District Mentor( English / S.St.), Harikrishan , District Mentor ( Science), Jatinder Kumar, District Mentor( Math) and Surinder Pal Agnihotri , Incharge, Zila Shikhiya Sudhar Team. " During the monitoring, it has come to notice that the teachers have been focusing to ensure that students are completely prepared in each and every subject to yield better results in Board examination", they added
