Fatehgarh Sahib, February 21, 2019: Gurpreet Singh GP MLA Bassi Pathana today organised monthly camp at village Nandpur Kalour under Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna ( MGSVY) and distributed cheques of grants under Smart Village Scheme to 77 village panchyats belonging to Bassi Pathana block worth Rs.2.20 Crore and to 29 village panchyats belonging to Khera block worth Rs. Rs.90 Lakh falling n Bassi Pathana constituency.
He thanked the Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh for launching the mega drinking water project for providing clean drinking canal water to 92 villages belonging to district worth Rs.112 Crore. He said one of the water treatment plant will be set up in Nanowal village of Bassi Pathana and the clean drinking water to Bassi Pathana villages will be supplied from here.
Addressing the gathering he said that Capt. Govt. is committed for the overall development of the State and all the promises made during elections will be fulfilled. He said that State Govt. has launched Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna ( MGSVY) with the objective to identify poor, needy and distressed who have been deprived of the benefits of the various welfare schemes launched in the State. He said every month camps are organised, where the officers belonging to 17 Government departments sit under one roof and ensure benefits to needy and weaker section of all the 44 beneficiary schemes initiated by Govt. and the cases of beneficiaries are cleared on the spot.
He said that the Govt. has taken historical step by initiating loan waiving scheme besides this the rural link roads are being repaired and the unemployed are being provided employment under Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojna.
