Resolute Will Is A Must To Realise Dreams Of The Great Martyrs : DC, Vinay Bublani

Nawanshahr, March 23, 2019: Paying rich tributes to the great martyrs - Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at Khatkar Kalan, here today, Deputy Commissioner, Vinay Bublani underlined the need of evolving resolute will to translate the ideology of the great martyrs into its true spirit to build India of their dreams.
"The martyrs - Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev had sacrificed their lives in the prime of their youth for the sake of independence of their country. They have dreamed of freedom not only from foreign rulers but of poverty, illiteracy, social and economic discrimination", said the DC while exhorting the all sections of the society especially youth to come forward with resolute will to realise the dreams of the martyrs, which would be the real tribute to the martyrs.
"All of us should dedicate ourselves to adopt the ideology and the vision of the great martyrs in our day to day life instead of just completing the formality of paying tributes on the "Martyrdom Day", further said the DC while adding that the village Khatkar Kalan was not merely a native place of Sardar Bhagat Singh but it was a source of inspiration for the generation to come.
"Earlier, I have got the proud opportunity to be associated with the setting of "Jang-E-Azadi" memorial and now got the opportunity to serve the district named after Sardar Bhagat Singh", further said the DC.
The DC was addressing a gathering after paying floral tributes to the martyrs at the memorial of Sardar Bhagat Singh and the Smadhi of Sardar Kishan Singh at village Khatkar Kalan. The "Shardhanjali Samoroh" was organised to commemorate the 'Martyrdom Day' .
Dr. Sohan Singh Parmar, Canada based NRI, shared his memories of his interaction with Punjab Mata Vidhyawati and sister of Bhagat Singh - Bibi Amar Kaur, during her treatment at PGI, Chandigarh in 1971. Down from his memory lane, Dr. Parmar shared the events related to Sardar Bhagat Singh narrated to him by the mother and sister.
The DC also honoured Anushpriya daughter of Abhey Singh Sandhu, nephew of Sardar Bhagat Singh and her husband Prabhdeep Singh, who graced the function organised by the district administration.
The students of Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Gobindpur, Shaheed Udham Singh School, Kangrour, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Mandhali, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Banga(Boys) presented cultural items including geet, recitation of poems, kavishri, speech etc. to highlight the life and philosophy of the great martyrs.
ADC(D) Sarbjit Singh Walia, SDM, Banga, Deepshikha Sharma, SDM, Nawanshahr Dr. Vineet Kumar, SDM, Balachaur, Jasbir Singh, Assistant Commissioner(G), Shiv Kumar, Tehsildar Banga, Kanwar Narinder Singh, Tehsildar Nawanshahr, Arvind Parkash Verma, DEO(Sec), Harcharan Singh, DEO(Pry), Komal Chopra, EO, Banga, Rajiv Oberai, DR Cooperative Societies Mohan Singh, among others, were present on the occasion.
Besides, DIG( Ludhiana Range), Ranbir Singh Khattra, SSP, Alka Meena accompanied with SP(H) Harish Dyama , SP(D) Wazir Singh, DSP Banga, NS Mahal, DSP, Balachaur Rajpal Singh Hundal( Arjuna Awardee), DSP, Nawanshahr, Kailash Chander, DSPs(HQ) Ms Deepika Singh, Paramjit Singh, among others, also paid rich tributes to the martyrs. The DIG visited the Gallery at the Museum. He asked the police officers to serve the country with the missionary spirit to help build the society dreamed by the martyrs.
