Nawanshahr, April 13, 2019 : The Government Primary Schools, at village Takarla situated at remote Kandi area in Nawanshahr district has emerged as epitome of "Self Made Smart school". The staff of the schools has set worth emulating initiative of setting up state of the art Smart Class rooms by mobilising donations from the NGOs and community. The staff has not only spruced up the school infrastructure, provided quality education but has also been spearheading the " Each One, Bring One" drive for enhancing enrollment by mobilising community. Under the drive, the school has attracted as many as 69 new admissions during the current academic session so far.
Baljinder Singh Virk , while divulging details said that the school staff with the active cooperation from the NGO - Khawayish Sewa Society, village panchayat, philanthropists has consistently been bringing in infrastructural development as well as quality improvement in education. A beautiful building having serene and conducive environment for the all round development of the students.
"The students from adjoining villages including Mansewal, Adoana, Rajumazra, Rattewal have been admitted in GPS, Takarala. The school has arranged a vehicle for the convenience of the students coming from nearby villages", he said while adding that as many as 69 new admissions had been made till date. Now, the school has the student strength of 155 from Pre-Primary to 5th classes and the admission process is going on.
