Fatehgarh Sahib.April.13, 2019: Punjab's first online CNG filling station on Delhi-Amritsar National Highway (NH-44) inaugurated at Dasmesh HP centre Harbanspura adjoin to Fatehgarh Sahib by Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh. The project had been established on the CNG gas pipeline by IRM energy at the cost of Rs. 2.5 crore.
Giving the details Assistant Sales Manager, H.P. Gaurav Yadav said that CNG was very economical as compare to diesel & petrol and it also helps in reducing the pollution. He said as sources of petrol & diesel were decreasing day by day, CNG is an effective alternative. He said that the number of CNG vehicles is increasing day by day and commutes regularly on Delhi-Amritsar Highway, so this station will be very helpful and facilitate those vehicles.
BIS Chahal said that this gas station was Punjab's first online CNG filling station situated on National Highway 44, Delhi-Amritsar GT Road. He said with the help of CNG gas pipeline the gas would be available 24X7 at this station, whereas at other gas stations, CNG was stored and filled by the tankers. He said this station has total 03 dispensers and 6 nozzles. Separate dispensers have been installed here for heavy vehicles such as buses and trucks and separate dispensers for other vehicles also.
It is worth mentioning that this Station is owned by BIS Chahal & Family and is very popular among the residents of area and the commuters for its quality and quantity.
Gaurav Gupta Assistant Sales Manager IRM (Fatehgarh Sahib), Jaswinder Kaur wife of BIS Chahal, his son Bikramjit Inder Singh Chahal, his daughter in law Kamaljit Kaur Chahal and grandson Gursher Inder Singh Chahal were also present.
