Jalandhar, July 10,2019 : The Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh, who was currently officiating as Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar, today said that common people could file their complaints related to Human Rights violation with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) via six modes.
Divulging the details, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that in order to facilitate the common people for redressal of their complaints related to Human Rights violation, the National Human Rights Commission has taken several new initiatives. He said that these steps were aimed at extending the outreach of the commission across the country so that general public could get a major reprieve. Mr. Kulwant Singh said that people could approach the National Human Rights Commission directly via phone, fax, e-mail or through these modes to get the perpetrators of Human Rights violation punished.
Listing the six modes through which people could contact the commission, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the Commission could be contacted through its online free net portal www.hrcnet.nic.in or via letters through post or speed posts. In the same manner, he said that the Commission could also be approached via Madad Toll free number 14433 or the individual could visit the Madad Centre at National Human Rights Commission and register their complaints. Mr. Kulwant Singh further said that the Commission could also be contacted on mobile number 9810298900 for Human Rights Defenders to lodge complaints to the National Human Rights Commission.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that in the latest initiative the Commission has decided to set up three lakh Common Service Centres (CSCs) across the country. He said that these CSCs in Urban and Rural Areas were a great step to facilitate the common people in rural and urban areas for redressal of their grievances related to Human Rights violation.
