Ludhiana, August 13, 2019: : The members of Aab Nahi Welfare society celebrated Teej festival in which the women and children’s from all over Punjab participated.
The participants were victims of dowry, NRI grooms. Fighting against all odds, the women came on united platform and celebrated the festival of Teej at Blessings Resorts at Pakhowal Road.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Secretary Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, Incharge of Atam Nagar constituency and President of Baba Deep Singh Welfare Society. Kulwant Singh Sidhu said that the victims of NRI grooms, dowry victims and other ladies decided to fight against all odds and live respectful and happy life in society. It was joyful moment when the women and children’s celebrated Teej festival and enjoy each and every moment.
On this occasion, the women were dressed up in traditional dresses and performed Folk dances, songs and also played games. The childrens also participated in the celebrations. The celebrations were joined by the members of Aab Nahi welfare society from Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Phillaur, Amritsar and Jagraon.
The members participated in event were Satwinder Kaur, Palwinder kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Kulvir Kaur, Jasvir Kaur, Kareena, Neetu Thappar, Nisha, Sukhraj Kaur, Santosh Kaur, Manjit Kaur, Gurpreet kaur, Daljit Kaur, Karamjit Kaur, Sukhwinder Kaur, Kulwinder Kaur, Harkawal Kaur, Hardeep Kaur, Seema and several others.
