Chairman BFGI announced that all faculty members would be recruited on regular basis only
Bathinda, September 05, 2019: Today, Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) celebrated Teacher's Day with great enthusiasm and joy. On this occasion, Best teacher, Best HoD and Best department of respective schools/colleges of BFGI were honoured along with other various categories. Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman BFGI, Mrs. Paramjeet Kaur Dhaliwal, Managing Director, BFGI, Mr. Amitoz Dhaliwal, Director Admin., BFGI and Dr. Amanat Dhaliwal, Executive Director, BFGI specially attended the function. The guests started this program by lighting the traditional lamp. Mr. B.D. Sharma, Deputy Director (Career Guidance and Counseling), BFGI welcomed all the guests & teachers and appraises the importance of the teacher's day and the role of the teacher. He told about the life of Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan and his contribution in Society as a Teacher. He also explained the duties and responsibilities of the teacher.
Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, BFGI congratulated the teachers on this occasion and said that we are proud that due to the hard work and cooperation of highly skilled and experienced teachers, this institution is constantly touching new heights while on the way of progress. Therefore, the entire management of BFGI is grateful to these teachers. He said that the responsibility of the teacher to create a good society and the country is huge because the profession of teaching is the best occupation which prepares all types of professionals whose direct relationship is with our society and the country. Therefore, the teachers should be able to become role models of their students and take appropriate leadership of students at all times because the teacher has an important role in the overall development of students. Dr. Dhaliwal gave a gift to all the faculty members on this occasion that all faculty members would be recruited on regular basis and no faculty member would be adhoc or temporary in future at BFGI.
On this occasion, Best Teacher, Best Head of Department and Best Department were honored along with various other categories like Best Counselor, Best Researcher, Best Innovation, BFGI promotion, 100% academic results, Best Communication, Best Mentoring, Educational Enhancement, Cultural, Sports and Special Category etc. At that time, Er Navjot Singh (Assistant Professor, Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology), Mr. Amanjeet Singh Bhandari (Assistant Professor, Baba Farid College), Ms. Shivangi Saxsena (Assistant Professor, Baba Farid College), Mr. Parwinder Singh (Assistant Professor, Baba Farid College of Education), Ms. Amritpal Kaur (Mistress, Baba Farid Senior Secondary School ) and Ms. Parminder Kaur Dhillon (Mistress Baba Farid Public Senior Secondary School) was awarded as the Best Teacher. Likewise Er Hardeep Singh, HoD (Electronics & Comm. Engg.) from Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology, Ms. Neetu Singh, HoD (Management Studies) from Baba Farid College of Management and Technology, Dr. Ritu Pawan, HoD (Biotechnology & Medical ) from Baba Farid College, Ms. Shivani Singla, HoD ( Education) from Baba Farid College of Education and Ms. Geeta Arora,
HoD (Arts) from Baba Farid Senior Secondary School were honoured as Best Head of Department whereas Department of Physics (Baba Farid College), Department of Management Studies( Baba Farid College of Management and Technology), Department of Education (Baba Farid College of Education), Department of Electronics & Comm. Engg. (Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology) and Department of Arts (Baba Farid Senior Secondary School) got the title of Best Department. After this, Dr. Jyoti Bansal, Vice Principal of BFCET was honoured for successfully organizing International conference on Intelligent Machines and Dr. Manish Bansal, Vice Principal of BFC and Department of Agriculture, BFC was honoured for successfully organizing International conference on Food Security. Apart from this, ANO Parkash Singh (DPE, BFCET) was honoured for attaining the
rank of Lieutenant in NCC after successfully completion of 3 month training at Kamptee, Nagpur (Maharashtra)
At this day's function, the teachers shared their views and made views for the development of education. Simultaneously, teachers presented cultural events by making Teacher Day memorable.
