Jalandhar, September 18, 2019: Dedicated to mark the 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the students from 6th to 8th classes showcased their talent in various cultural items on the second day of three-day Zonal level Co-Curricular Academic competitions of Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), in Government Senior Secondary School for Girls Nehru Garden on Wednesday.
The students from Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Moga, Barnala, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Hoshiarpur districts participated in the various events that include Song, Cultural Dance Giddha and bhangra, Declamation, Painting and others.
PSEB Mrs Rupinder Kaur and Mrs Charanpreet Kaur were specially present on the second day of the competitions.
They said that extra-curricular activities provide a platform to the students for exhibiting their skills besides instilling a sense of confidence amongst them. They added such competitions inspire the students to excel in varied fields of art and culture.
The students were also given first, second and third prizes.
Meanwhile, Principal of the school Mrs Gurinderjit Kaur welcomed the PSEB Officials on the occasion.
