Jalandhar, October 12, 2019: Member of Parliament (MP) Chaudhary Santokh Singh, MLAs Sushil Kumar Rinku, Rajinder Beri, Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar
today exhorted the people to follow the path and ideals shown by Bhagwan Valmiki Ji, who had preached the message of equality and universal brotherhood, to carve out an egalitarian society.
Addressing a mammoth gathering during the Shobha Yatra organized here to mark the Parkash utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji here today, they said that Bhagwan Valmiki Ji Maharaj was first poet or the Adi Kavi of the world who by his immortal and masterpiece composition the “Ramayana” propagated the message of victory of good over evil.
They also said that great epic has from centuries taught the way of life to the people and has been a lighthouse of the ethical and moral living for the people which were far more relevant in the present materialistic society.
They said that the teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji Maharaj lay stress on the equality in the society along with the ethics of what an ideal man, ideal ruler and ideal people should follow for the formation of an ideal state or society.
Lauding the efforts made by various Organisations to organize the Shobha Yatra, they said that such endeavors not only help in disseminating the philosophy of Bhagwan Valmiki Maharaj Ji for carving out a harmonious society but also act as a lighthouse to guide the destiny of our youth through the great ethical and moral values preached by him.
They said that the teachings of Bhagwan Valmiki ji were the most relevant in today’s era to cement the bonds of communal harmony, peace and brotherhood.
They also congratulated the organizers for holding this mega event every year to perpetuate the glorious legacy of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji.
Earlier in the day, MLA Rinku, DC and CP took part in the Shobha Yatra in Rahimpur village and also paid homage to Bhagwan Valmiki ji durjng shobha yatra that commenced from Valmiki Ashram village Rahimpur to Valmiki Tirath Amritsar
