Fatehgarh Sahib. October.16, 2019: Desh Bhagat University Mandi Gobindgarh organized a mega free medical check-up camp. Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor Desh Bhagat University inaugurated the camp. A team of expert doctors led by Dr. Baljeet Singh, Chief Medical Officer of the Desh Bhagat Hospital examined 248 patients in the camp.
Dr. Jyoti H. Dhami said that the aim of the camp was to create health awareness among the people and to provide them necessary medical assistance. Most of the patients examined by the team were suffering from Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Low Eye Vision and Anemia etc. Laboratory and Radiological tests and Medicines were provided free of cost. The medical team also advised the people about proper eating habits, avoid eating unhealthy food and wash eyes with normal water and to use sunglasses when needed.
Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh appreciated the doctors for their services and appealed to the people to get maximum advantage from the services being provided by Desh Bhagat Hospital. Vice-chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh said that the hospital has been organizing such camps from time to time.
