A deadly spell of bowling by Akashjeet (5 for 18) skittled out Chandigarh to 69 all out in 36.2 overs overs and in reply Punjab scored 106 for 4 in 56 overs on the first day of the Vijay Merchant Under-16 Cricket Tournament at the Mahajan Cricket Ground here today.
Only Aryan Verma played a defiant knock of 34 which included five boundaries. Non of the other Chandigarh batsmen could could reach the double figure mark.
At close of play Punjab were 106 for 4 and Uday Saharan was batting on 39. Jaskirat Singh was batting on 11, Mayank Gupta (25) and Sanraj Singh (26) played good knocks before they were dismissed.
