Fazilka, December 04, 2019: To alert humanity about the global water crisis and suggest its effective solutions, the Fazilka administration has created a short film named 'Paani Di Kahaani'. Deputy Commissioner Mr. Manpreet Singh Chhatwal today released the poster and promo of the film here at District Administrative Complex. Lauding the strenuous efforts of the film crew, he said that the every scene of film depicts the essence of the water with a message that single droplet water is valuable. He informed that after thorough survey on constantly depleting ground water, the Union government and Punjab
government had jointly taken many steps to come out from water crisis and maintaining the quality of underground water. "This short film is an initiative of district administration under union government's Jal Shakti Abhiyan and I am confident that on one side film will portray the crisis of water and on the other hand it will describe the methods to emerge from the problem to protect humanity from far-reaching consequences", said Mr. Chhatwal, expressing concern that we are not fully sensitized about the use of water. Since, Fazilka is in the list of 255 dark zone districts of the country, this film will not only make every folk aware of the scarcity of water, but also guide for judicious use of the water", he added. who also played a leading role in this film, said that apart from entertaining, songs, poems and brief messages in the film will leave deep impact on the people to save water and forced viewers to once think about terrible situation of water.
