GGSR to distribute 1250 Bicycles to girl students

20 January, 2020: Guru Gobind Singh Refinery is committed towards the development of the community in which it operates and would continue to provide necessary support for the benefit of its neighbouring villages. For past many years, Refinery has been running various welfare programs in the villages like Skill Development Center, Career counselling and English Speaking Courses, Medical and Healthcare Camps, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Camps, RO water and education support. Current financial year’s program has already benefitted around 40,000 people in these villages.
Guru Gobind Singh Refinery has distributed 978 bicycles out of total 1250 bicycles earmarked for the current year for distribution to girl students of class 8th, 9th and 10th covering 23 Government schools in the vicinity. On Saturday, 120 bicycles were distributed at the Sr. Secondary School, village Bangi Kalan by AGM-CSR, HMEL in presence of village panchayat, school principal and staff members. GGSR had also distributed 627 and 232 bicycles to class X, XI & XII during FY 18-19 and FY 7-18 respectively.
Guru Gobind Singh Refinery through its HPCL-Mittal Foundation has been continuously working towards helping the needy people of the region at the grass root level. Members of village panchayat appreciated this noble initiative by Guru Gobind Singh Refinery apart from regular development work being carried in the vicinity villages.
