Jalandhar, March 24, 2020: In order to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply for the emergency vehicles during the ongoing curfew the district administration has opened 29 petrol pumps in the district so that people do not face any sort of problem.
Divulging the details, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the Food and Civil Supplies department has decided to open these outlets to fulfil the emergency requirements. He said that during the curfew Amar Highway Filling Station (Paragpur), Bal Indian Oil (Raipur), Jagat Fuels (Ladowlai Road), Sutlej Filling (PAP Chowk), United Service Station (Lajpat Nagar), Sunshine Fuels (Shastri Nagar), Kuwar Petro World (Singa Village, Near Partarpura), Kesar Service Centre (BMC Chowk), Shamsher Singh Sehgal & sons (BMC Chowk), Kartar Petro Station (Old Railway Road), Khehra Filling Station (Rama Mandi), Satyam Filling Station (Near Lyallpur Khalsa College), MR Petroleum (Village Mariana), HSD Fuel Point (Adampur), DK Petroleum (Bhogpur), Bolina Filling Station (Binpalke, Bhogpur), Gangsar Filling Point (Kartarpur-Kishangarh Road), Kartarpur Malwa Filling Station (GT Road, Kartarpur), Karam Petroleum (Goraya), Satparkash Amar Singh (Mahal, Goraya), New Sutlej Filling Station (Phillaur), Jindal Filling Station (Garha, Tehsil Phillaur), Chander Petroleum (Apra), JK Filling Station (Mandi Road, Nurmahal), Jakhu Filling Station (Buri Pind Nakodar-Mehatpur road), Mehat HP Filling Station (Malsian), RR Filling Station (Shahkot) and Rinku Filling Station (Lothian Khaas).
The Deputy Commissioner said that these petrol pumps have been started to facilitate the plying of emergency vehicles in the district. He said that the remaining petrol pumps would remain close until the further orders. Sharma said that no stone would be left unturned for combating the Corona Virus in an effective manner. He said that District Food and Supply Controller Narinder Singh was regularly monitoring the situation.
