Seven Minerva boys selected for India U-15 team
Chandigarh, March 29, 2017: Another feather in the cap for Minerva Punjab FC; another five boys called up for the India U-15 National Football team this year taking the total to seven since last year.
Minerva Punjab FC who defeated India U-17 World
Cup bound team 1-0 and India U-15 Team 2-0 in the recently concluded friendly series in Goa. Earlier six Minerva boys were called for the India U-17 World Cup Squad and now All India Football Federation has decided to call five players to join the Indian U-15 Team camp in Goa, namely Jagjeet Singh, Lalchhanhima Sailo, Parithoi Meetei, Thoiba Singh and Bhupati Chandara are the ones who have got the nod.
The Chandigarh based team are well known for nurturing youngsters as recently six players were also called up for the India U-17 World Cup bound team selections. and previously producing four players for the U-17 taking the tally to a wooping 10 players for the World Cup team within two years of Inception and seven players for India U-15 with previously Jaskaran and Vikaram called up for the national duty in 2016.
The 10 acre campus based in Mohali has been reaping fruits since its inception as it has grown into the country's largest residental football Academy housing over a 100 aspiring players and slowly turning a hub & feeder for the National teams, reflecting the purpose and mission and vision for its inception.
