Punjab Government would set up state of the art cath lab at Homi Baba Cancer hospital for the world class treatment of the heart diseases. It was disclosed by Mr. Brahm Mohindra, Health and family welfare Minister, Punjab while talking to journalists during his visit to Homi Bhaba Cancer hospital.
The Minister said that the Punjab Government would provide the grant of Rs. 5 crore from Punjab State Cancer and Drug Addiction Treatment Fund.
Earlier in the day Mr. Brahm Mohindra inaugurated the first Health ATM which has been set up at Primary Health Centre of Nadampur under a pilot project. He appreciated Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, MLA, Sangrur for his pro active approach and keen interest for bringing big projects for Sangrur. Health Minister said that with the establishment of the Health ATM, patients while sitting in the premises of Primary Health Centre would be able to consult their problems with the health experts of Narayan Hirdiyaliya, Banglore and M.G.M. Hospital of Jaipur with the help of video conferencing. He said the medicines prescribed by the health experts for a particular patient would be recorded online automatically in the ATM and the patient would get the medicines by scanning the receipt in another scanning machine attached with this ATM and patient would get the medicine the same way as they get currency notes from ATMs.
