Chandigarh, January 04, 2019: Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) will host ITF Juniors Circuit (Grade-3) for boys and girls under-18 years at Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here from January 7 to 12, 2019. The Qualifying matches will be played on January 5 and 6.
Boys and girls from 20 countries, including India, are participating in the tournament. These countries are Netherlands, Morocco, Israel, Taipei, Belgium, China, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, United State of America, Hong Kong, Uzbekistan, Russia, Switzerland, Canada, Poland, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Iran and India.
The main draw for each of the two events for boys and girls consists of 32 players, of which 24 secure their entry as per their ITF ranking, four from among the qualifiers in the qualifying matches, and four would be given wild cards.
Sacchitt Sharma, Dev Javia, Madhwin Kamath, Krish Patel, Kabir Hans and Denim Yadav are the Indian boys who figure in the main draw with direct entries.
In the girls main draw entries for India are through Kaavya Sawhney, Malikaa Marathe, Nikita Vishwase, Tanisha Kashyap, Sandeepti Singh Rao, Gauri Bhagia, Prinkle Singh, Bhakti Parwani, Priyanshi Bhandari and Sarah Dev.
