Mhow, Apr 15 :: The 28th edition of All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship commenced on Monday under the aegis of National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).
The event will culminate on April 19.
Just after completion of GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship, the 62nd National Shooting Championship Competition in Big Bore Events will start from April 20. The competition will conclude on April 29.
23 shooters from the Army Marksmanship Unit are participating in All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship and National Shooting Championship Competition at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh.
However, a total number of 539 shooters are participating in both the event.
The shooting range has been prepared with electronic target systems of SIUS ASCOR and state of the art
amenities. The championship will be played in Big Bore 300 Mtr Men & Women events with a number of renowned shooters participating in the event," a defence official said.
The Army Marksmanship Unit is organising the event and providing a conducive environment for the
shooters participating in the Championship.
The shooters performing well in the competition will be selected for Indian Squad for the forthcoming International Championships, the official added.
Shooters from all over the country will showcase their sports skills before the audience.Agency
