New Delhi, May 20 (UNI) Soon after assuming power at Centre, the new Government will have to do exercise to fill up important vacancies which would be vacant in days to come. The Cabinet Secretary PK Sinha is to retire June 12 and the Government has to find the new incumbent. Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra has to retire on May 31 while Intelligence Bureau Director Rajiv Jain and Research and Analysis Chief Anil Kumar Dhasmana are retiring in June end. Both Mr Jain and Mr Dhasmana were given extension of six months in December 2018. Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa will also demit office in September and as per the tradition, the Government has to announce the incumbent well in advance. The Centre has recently appointed Admiral Karambir Singh as Chief of Naval Staff. He will assume office on May 31 when outgoing Admiral Sunil Lanba will retire. His appointment was challenged by one of the senior most Naval Commander Vice Admiral Bimal Verma in the Armed Forces Tribunal for overlooking his seniority by the Government which was turned down.
