Creates web-links for Employer Vacancy Collection and Labour Registration
Jobs and career counseling for unemployed youth also being facilitated
S. A. S. Nagar, May 31, 2020: In an unique ‘matchmaking’ between the employers and the job seekers, the District Bureau of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DBEE), Mohali is providing much needed succor to the unemployed. The DBEE has created web-link for Employer Vacancy Collection wherein the employers can register the number and nature of vacancies that they seek to fill. Similarly, a link for Labour Registration has been generated where the labourers rendered jobless due to outbreak of pandemic can enter their particulars and the kind of work that they want to undertake. By mapping vacancies with the database of labourers, an attempt is being made to restore normalcy in the lives of migrant labourers who chose to stay back and the industry, informed Girish Dayalan , Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar.
The employers can fill up the Employer Vacancy Collection Form at https://forms.gle/NTMNTpN2NKiHuUhd8 while the Labour Registration Form can be filled up at https://forms.gle/CvM6ofsmMV91n6h18. As of now, 900 unemployed labourers have registered while 400 vacancies for unskilled labourers from different sectors such as Agriculture, Industrial Institutions, the construction sector etc. have been listed, informed Dayalan.
“With increased awareness about the ‘matchmaking’ service we expect the inventory of jobs to go up”, he added. The Dera Bassi Association and Mohali Association of Entrepreneurs have registered with us and we are looking forward for other business and industrial associations to follow the suit. Besides, the District Bureau of Employment and Entrepreneurship is also making efforts to ensure job avenues for the educated youth jobless /rendered jobless. As of now, 952 vacancies in different companies in various sectors have been sought to be filled’ while 700 candidates have registered themselves on Employment Generation and Training Department’s portal www.pgrkam.com, during the past 4 days. It is also significant to mention that the DBEE is also providing online counseling as per the requirements of the present day to the youth to prepare them for jobs. In just four days 533 youth availed online counseling while group guidance has also been provided through 10 zoom meetings.
