June 04, 2020: Civil Surgeon Fatehgarh Sahib Dr. N.K.Aggarwal honoured Rana Hospital Sirhind and issued an appreciation letter for its uninterrupted best service without a single day off during the lock down due amid Covid -19 pandemic. Civil Surgeon said that when almost all small and big hospitals stopped their services and it was Team Rana Hospital,Sirhind including Doctors, Nursing Staff, Sweepers etc who gave their selfless services by maintaining social distancing and taking other cleaning precautions and even attended emergencies with full dedication.
Dr. Hitender Suri Director of the hospital said that the honour conferred by the Civil Surgeon to Rana Hospital and recognition by the district administration will further motivate team Rana hospital to continue its work with full dedication in future. He said that recognizing the services of para medical staff especially the Nursing staff, the doctors and staff of Rana Hospital honoured nursing staff of hospital on the eve of World Nursing Day and celebrated the day by cake cutting for their selfless services in COVID - 19 pandemic. He said that the hospital is giving its best services under Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana and assured that will continue to serve the down trodden section of the society without any discrimination with missionary zeal.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Hatinder Suri of Rana Hospital Sirhind is one of the nine doctors selected by the State Govt. from all over the State for Excellency in providing medical services to the people. He was bestowed with the top medical award “ Dhanwantri Award” during a State level function.
He excelled the pioneer research in inventing new painless technique to treat the Fistula and piles one of the most dangerous diseases as earlier treatment was very painful and possible with surgery. Dr. Suri got his name recorded in Limca book and Guinness book of records by doing more than 300 operations of piles in one day and had treated more than 1 lakh fistula and piles patients.
