Jalandhar, June 04, 2020: Lok Sabha Member from Jalandhar Chaudhary Santokh Singh today envisioned that the 'Mission Fateh' launched by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh would act as a catalyst for the revival of the state from the Corona Virus Pandemic.
The Lok Sabha Member, who visited the District Bureau of Employment and Entrepreneur along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (D)Vishesh Sarangal, here at the District Administrative Complex today, said that 'Mission Fateh', which was the brainchild of the Chief Minister, would emerge as a symbol of firm resolve of the people of Punjab to check the spread of novel coronavirus through discipline, cooperation and compassion.
He said that the Chief Minister has through this mission stressed on the need for adherence to all safety protocols, cooperation with the state government through compliance with the lockdown restrictions and compassion towards the poor. Chaudhary Santokh Singh said that the 'Mission Fateh' was a true reflection of the Punjabi spirit to overcome all odds for emerging victorious even in hostile circumstances.
Exhorting the people to make ‘Mission Fateh'- a huge success, the Lok Sabha member said that the Mission was primarily aimed at spreading mass awareness about the Covid 19 pandemic. He said that during the drive emphasis would be laid on recognizing the threat of the virus, which continues to pose serious dangers to the people. Chaudhary Santkh Singh said that all the state government departments would come together and work in unison to create a positive atmosphere in the state, enabling the people to push forward and make Mission Fateh successful, with the active support of the people.
Meanwhile, during the visit to DBEE, the Lok Sabha Member lauded the efforts being made by the officers to ensure employment to the youths of the district despite the lockdown imposed to contain Covid-19 pandemic through a mobile helpline (90569-20100) for them in the Jalandhar. He said that the helpline has been started under Punjab Government Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’s scheme adding that interested youth could contact on the helpline from 9 am to 5 pm in working days and share their details with the DBEE following which the officials would facilitate them in getting suitable jobs for them according to their qualifications. Chaudhary Santokh Singh asked the youth to take derive maximum benefit of this scheme for their well being.
