Chandigarh, June 24, 2020: US cancelled Air India special repatriation flights alleging "unfair and discriminatory practices". US authorities said India is not allowing US airlines to operate in India while going beyond repatriation.
In response, Indian govt said it is looking at the possibility of bilateral arrangements for repatriation flights currently operated only by Air India.

A strong majority won't be comfortable to take part in such activities which will bring them closer to others like going to movies, concerts and social gatherings, even if rules were relaxed. 42% say the worst is over while 32% say worst is still to come. 62% say it will take time before life comes to normal while 28% say it will never come to normal.
4. Eight weeks additional CERB will cost 17.9 billion dollars. Total cost of this program is going to be 71.3 billion. Till 4 June, 43.51 billion dollars have been paid to 8.41 million people, way above the intial estimate of govt.
5. Vaccine will be ready by the end of this year, US infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci told House committee today. He said states are opening too soon without adequate plans for testing and tracing of people having virus.
