Amit Kumar, Sr.DEN in DRM office Ferozepur dies after car falls into Sharda Canal
Ferozepur, June 24, 2020: Amit Kumar,Sr.DEN HQ in DRM Northern Railway office Ferozepur died after his car skidded and plunged into the Sharda Canal.
Giving this information, Rajesh Aggarwal, DRM Ferozepur Division informed that Amit Kumar had gone to his home in Bihar, in a car, after taking leave on June 23. He had left Ferozepur from midnight of 23-24 June around 3 when his car met with an accident between Faizabad and Lucknow and fell into the Sharda Canal. Two drivers, one driving the vehicle and others sitting on the front seat, fortunately, survived but Amit Kumar despite tightening with the belt on the rear seat could not come out of the car.
DRM said, The rescue operation was carried by Lucknow and the vehicle was taken out by the divers around 10 am. The body of Amit Kumar was taken to Faizabad district hospital where he was declared dead.
Expressing deep concern over the death of Amit Kumar, DRM said, during last week, the railway has also lost one officer Raj Kumar due to cardiac arrest who was Corona +ve.
DRM said, Amit Kumar was an outstanding officer who was completely devoted to his duty. He started the e-office, IRWCMS etc, and made a significant contributions in other fields.
