June.27, 2020: After the death of the head of Jai Maa Mission Swami Jyoti Maa Mahadev due to COVID controversy religious controversy has erupted over the immersion of his ashes among his followers. Not only this a dispute is likely to occur over the management of the renowned Usha Mata Ji Trust Bassi Pathana.
Swinging into action SDM Bassi Pathana has sealed the Temple and taken his ashes into possession and placed them in the Mandir. All his disciples, who remain with them, 8 Sadhvis, a media persons and the members of the management having close contacts have been quarantined in the temple premises and their samples have been collected. SDM intervened and pacified the warring groups. He said that there are cows in the temple and administration will provide fodder and food to quarantine.
Meanwhile sources told that Swami Jyoti Maa Mahadev after giving his COVID sample at Apollo hospital Ludhiana came back to Bassi Pathana and remain at headquarter in Usha Mata Temple and when the report was tested positive he got admitted in Apollo hospital and breathed his last there. His death has also created controversy as the district health department has not counted him in the list of Fatehgarh Sahib COVID active, whereas it is considered to be the first COVID death in the district. Dr. N.K Aggarwal Civil Surgeon said that the department is doing a death audit of the COVID patient, which area he belongs to and which time he has come to Bassi Pathana.
