Fatehgarh Sahib, July.20, 2020: Amid COVID crisis to provide relief to the people, a group of Sikh youths under the banner of Sikh Rights Organisation today opened “ Nanak Di Hatti” , a departmental store, where the grocery, karyana and daily use items will be provided to the people on no profit no loss basis on the pattern of “ Modi Khanna”, a Chemist Shop opened in Ludhiana. On the opening day the residents thronged the newly opened store to get the goods.
While talking to the media persons Simranjit Singh owner and Jaswinder Singh Chairman of Sikh Rights Organisation said that they have opened the store with the mission to serve the society. They said that during COVID threat certain agreedy shopkeepers taking the benefit of the situation looted the common man by selling the goods on very high rates, so the youths decided to start a store where all goods will be available on purchase rates without getting any profit just to serve the society in this hour of crisis as preached by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. They said service to mankind is service to God people will get pure goods on purchased rates. They urged the society to extend all sorts of help to their organization in serving the community, so that the loot of the common man may be stopped.
The people appreciated their efforts and said that now they will feel relieved as the rates are very cheap from the market.
