Mobilises smart phones / data donations to facilitate " On Line Education" for the needy students

Jalandhar July 22, 2020: The government school teachers are incredibly humane towards their students . Earlier they have been mobilising donations for providing books, stationery, uniforms etc to the needy students. Now, they have come forward with an unique innovative idea of mobilising donations for helping the needy students to have smart phones and data packs . This is new concept as well as innovation in extending assistant to needy students, which has emerged during the present unprecedented crisis. As the schools are lying closed and teachers have been providing education facilities to the students via various digital tools under " Ghar Baithe Sikhiya" programme launched by the education department, the students belonging to less privileged section of the society have been facing problem in availing of the facility for either want of smart phones or data pack affordability.
Surinder Kumar Puari, Head Master, Government High School, Dyalpur ( Jalandhar) has mobilised donation from US based NRI philanthropist, Dalwinder Kaur for providing smart phones to as many as 10 needy students of the school. DEO(SE) Harinderpal Singh, Deputy DEO(SE) Rajiv Joshi and Harjit Bawa, DM( Science), Jalandhar, handed over the smart phones to the students at their doorstep.
Similarly, Anita Chawla, SS Mistress, GSSS Kariha( SBS Nagar) says when she started virtual classes via Skype, she came across the problem of affording net pack being faced by some students. When she discussed the problem with her husband, Sham Lal, himself a Math Tutor. One of his husband's friend has offered to contribute towards the noble cause, she said.
