Pandemic seizes Teacher’s Day celebrations, students express greetings online
Teachers are the important members of the society who play an important role in shaping our life. They are the inspiration, the mentor the guide, the spark and the candle to our life. But this year, the celebrations don’t seem to go the usual way and it looks that Teacher's Day has also become a victim of the Covid pandemic.
In order to surrender love and reverence to their teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day, the students of DCM International School designed handmade cards for the teachers while sitting at home and also made a video to express their feelings towards them.
Principal Sangeeta Nistendra said that in the prevailing situation, we have decided to celebrate the day online. Due to Covid-19, students cannot meet the teachers directly, but teachers are being highly respected by sending videos and photos of cards. The school organized a card making competition for the students from nursery to Plus 2 classes and thousands of children participated in it.
Nistendra said that in the absence of a mother in school, only a teacher is the real mother of the student and the teacher only helps the children to make their future bright. She said that the giver of knowledge is called a Guru and only by erasing the darkness hidden within the student, he can fill the light of knowledge in him.
VP Manreet Singh and Activity Incharge Rita Chopra said that competitions are organized from time to time among the students in the school.
