PCMS Association supports the farmers protest over roll back of three ordinances
Ferozepur, September 24, 2020: Punjab Civil Medical Services - PCMS Association Punjab - a representative body of Govt doctors of Punjab has strongly opposed the implementation of new Agriculture bills passed by the Parliament recently and it supports the peaceful protests by the farmer unions of the state and the country.
In a press release today, PCMSA adviserDr Jasbir Aulakh, State President Dr Gagandeep Singh ,Gen.sec.Dr Manohar Singh, Sn.VP Dr Gagandeep Shergill,Org.sec.Dr Indervir Gill,Dr Ranjit Rai, Dr Gurmail Ankhi,Dr Madan Mohan,DrHarpreet Sekhon,Dr Manjit kapurthala,Dr Simran Dhaliwal and other leaders said that Punjab is facing a big socioeconomic crisis for a long time, as a result there is exodus of youngsters to foreign countries, some are into drugs out of frustration as unemployment is at an all time high Agriculture remains the only ray of hope left as Punjab, being an Agrarian economy and all businesses are dependent on agriculture.
They said, By imposing corporate houses in Agriculture the central government is hitting at the very backbone of state economy. Farmers will be at mercy of these corporate giants, as a result state will collapse.
Earlier, many children of farmers would join medical profession but due to high fee structure and decrease income, very few children would b able to become doctors and other professionals, added Dr.Gagandeep Singh.
