Kejriwal, five AAP leaders to face trial in defamation case
New Delhi, March 25, 2017: A Delhi court has framed notice against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders in defamation case filed by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
The trial in the case will start from May 20 as ordered by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sumit Dass who framed the notice in hearing of the case on Saturday.
Apart from Kejriwal, other AAP leaders included Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Deepak Bajpai, Raghav Chadha and Sanjay Singh.
In the criminal defamation complaint, Jaitely had alleged the AAP leaders had made false and defamatory statements against him related to working of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) during his tenure as its chief.
