Anti-ragging app launched by HRD minister Javadekar
Chandigarh, May 29, 2017: Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry has prepared a mobile App to curb nagging problem of ragging on the premises of educational institutions.
This will enable any student to lodge direct complaint to college or university administration against those involved in ragging.
Launching the App, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said the App was devised to facilitate direct and quicker way of complaining against ragging. Earlier the victim students had to lodge complaint on the website.
Anti-ragging law has ensured timely disposal of complaints besides enforcing a deterrence which has resulted in lesser number of complaints.
Javadekar reiterated that no one involved in ragging would be spared.
He hoped the students would feel secure with the launch of the App.
