Jalandhar, August 12, 2017: On the 71st Independence Day in order to pay homage to the Martyrs, the students of CT Group of Institutions paid a special visit to their homes. The initiative was taken to honour the sacrifice of the Martyrs as well as of their family members for the sacrifice to provide safety and security to the citizens. CT Group salutes the Martyrs who lost their lives; they said that “their sacrifice & courage can never be forgotten.”
CT Group also celebrated the Independence Day with the students of Prayas Special School with an aim of purposeful celebration of spreading message of love, peace and prosperity among underprivileged children. On this occasion special events like Flag hosting, National anthem and singing of patriotic songs was organized which created the zeal of patriotism amongst students and staff members. Students of CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM), Shahpur and CT Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (CTIHM&CT), Maqsudan shared love and small gifts with physically challenged children.
A special event ‘Azaadi Ke Rang, CT ke Sang’ was also celebrated at CT Maqsudan Campus. The students expressed their patriotism and love for the motherland by participating in melange of patriotic activities as Debate, Presentation and Quiz which created an atmosphere of pride and love for the country. On the other hand, at CT Public School a special event was organized in which students gathered by dressing up as Soldiers, Rani Laxmi Bai, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and as other freedom fighters. They sung patriotic songs for paying tribute to the martyrs.
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group) said paying visit to the homes of Martyrs created an aura of nationalism among the students. It was a rich learning experience for the students who cherished the values of freedom and patriotism. He said, “CT Group also provides 100% Scholarship to the Children of Martyrs as It is our privilege to work for their children and by providing scholarship to them we are trying to do our bit.”
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) wished everyone a very Happy 71st Independence Day. He said, “The Martyrs never look back while fighting for their mother land, for their country and for the citizens of their nation. We should always pay respect to their sacrifice and courage.”
