Chandigarh, September 20, 2017: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has greeted the people on the birth anniversary of Bhai Lalo ji, exhorting them to emulate the philosophy of the devout Sikh who was a living legend of Guru Nanak Dev ji's unique philosophy 'kirt karo, naam japo te vand chhako' in the 15th century.
A symbol of honesty, dedication and hard work (kirt), who was bestowed with the grace and blessings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, Bhai Lalo was a staunch believer of earning his livelihood by the dint of hard work and honesty – principles that continue to be relevant even today, said the Chief Minister.
In a message on the eve of Bhai Lalo ji's birth anniversary, Captain Amarinder Singh appealed to the people to follow the message of Bhai Lalo to imbue dignity of labour for leading a simple life with noble values to achieve the ultimate goal of contentment and happiness.
The Chief Minister called upon the people to rise above the petty considerations of caste, colour, creed and religion to tread on the path of truthfulness and honesty as shown by Bhai Lalo ji, who continues to inspire people with his ideology that it was better to earn less money with hard work than to amass huge wealth by devious and crooked means.
