Kanwaljit Bakshi with his supporters in Papatoetoe, Auckland

With only a day left before the 2017 election, Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi, Member Parliament, New Zealand took out a car rally this morning in his constituency in Auckland.
Babushahi.Com was live on Facebook with Kanwaljit Bakshi at the time of start of the rally.
Rally started from Papatoetoe, Auckland and Bakshi expected to cover his constituency by 4pm. This was perhaps the first time such a rally had been organised in any election campaign here.
Explaining the need to take out this rally, Bakshi told Babushahi.Com reporter "I wanted to create an awareness and encourage people to cast their party vote in favour of his National Party as this is the only party that can secure a stable government, create more jobs and maintain economic stability".
He appealed to his supporters to spread the word and vote to elect National for the fourth term in power and strengthen the hands of Prime Minister, Bill English.
There will be no campaigning tomorrow as it is election day.
Current polls show National slightly ahead of the main opposition party, Labour, but indications are no party is likely to gain complete majority to form a government. In such a scenario, party with more votes will have to take support of other two minor parties - either New Zealand First or Green..
Nearly 1 million advance votes are estimated to have already been cast by the close of today and election day is tomorrow, Saturday.
Final results of the cast votes would be known by late evening once voting ends tomorrow.
