Chandigarh, September 24, 2017: The Shiromani Akali Dal President Mr.Sukhbir Singh Badal has expressed deep shock at the death of young sikh girl Ramandeep Kaur Pinky a native of sikh populated village Taral in Kashmir. He said that the news of death of Pinky has sent shock waves in the minority community and has deeply hurt the Sikhs.
It is worth mentioning here that Ramandeep Kaur Pinky was a talented student who was pursuing her MBA 2nd semester in Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST).
In a statement released from the party head office here, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that S. Badal has constituted three member committee of the party which will go to Kashmir to ascertain the circumstances of the death of this girl and submit its report to the party. The members of the this committee will be former SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur, Member Parliament Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra and party General Secretary and former minister S. Maheshinder Singh Grewal.
Dr. Cheema further said that S. Badal has said that this incident has increased feeling on insecurity among the members of the minority communities in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that after receiving the report of the committee, the party will discuss the issue in detail on how can such incidents be stopped against the members of minority communities and steps need for ensure their security. He said that accordingly party will approach State and Centre Government on the issue.
