ADC (D) honours two self-employed RSETI trained women
RSETI equips 2774 with vocational skills in rural Bathinda
Bathinda, November 22, 2017: Under the State Bank of India's Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) total 2774 candidates have so far been imparted vocational training. Of these, 1686 have started their own ventures after completion the training programmes in different vocations informed Dr Shena Aggarwal, ADC (Development)-cum- Chairperson of RSETI here on Wednesday.
Addressing the meeting, the ADC (D) stressed on exploring possibilities of promoting traditional Phulkari work in rural areas. The district administration will provide a shop in the Zila Perished Complex, Bathinda for marketing and sale of the products prepared by RSETI trainees such as leather bag, cloth bag, and ladies suits etc.
She also advised the Director RSETI to frame a new training programme to repair and service of agriculture implements on the suggestion of Dr J.S. Brar, Associate Director of KVK, Bathinda as the farmers are facing so many problems in the villages.
RSETI Director Mr Jasbir Singh said that RSETI Bathinda is the only RSETI to have participated in the Nana Ji Deshmukh Birth Centenary Celebration & Rural Meet programme at NEW DELHI addressed by the honorable Prime Minister of India with a team of 35 Rseti trainees of Plumbing works from the State in the National Function in the month of October 2017
He added that in December 2017 the SBI Rseti will organize women’s tailor, masonry and concrete works, cell phone repairs & service & vegetable nursery management & cultivation in association of KVK, Bathinda 2017 for the BPL rural youth of Bathinda District.
The ADC (D) also honored successful women trained by RSETI in dress designing Sukhwinder Kaur from Raiya village and Karamjit Kaur from Harnam Singh Wala Village of Phool block, Both are now self-employed and have started earning on an average Rs.15000 and Rs 10000 per month respectively.
The members of the District Level RSETI Advisory Committee who are present included Dr J.S. Brar, Director, Krishi Vgyan Kendra, Shri Vikas Mittal, DDM, Nabard, Shri Rajiv Tina, LDM, Shri Darshan Singh from DIC, Mr Imtiaz Mohamad, from AIR, were present in the meeting.
