Suresh Kumar and Tejveer Singh being briefed about preparations of CM's visit to Mansa
Mansa, January 3, 2018: Suresh Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh and Principal Secretary Tejveer Singh on Wednesday visited Mansa to take stock of the preparations for January 7 visit of the CM to launch farmers loan waiver scheme from here
Both senior officials also reviewed the status of major schemes of the state government.
During the meeting at Bachat Bhawan, Mansa Deputy Commissioner, Dharam Pal Gupta apprised them in detail the progress report of important schemes.
Expressing satisfaction over the presentation, Suresh Kumar directed all department heads to increase the number of actual beneficiaries of schemes in more aggressive and honest manner.
He touched every aspect of all the 10 major schemes and asked the officers to focus their attention towards generating employment for the youth, providing health benefits, checking school-drop-out-rate and exploring ways and means to find genuine beneficiaries.
"We must adopt multi-disciplinary and multi-pronged strategies to practically improve the existing system to hit the target of making every scheme available to the genuinely needy persons," said Suresh Kumar.
Principal Secretary to CM, Tejveer Singh asked all the department heads to mobilize local resources to achieve the target of proper implementation of the government schemes at grassroots level.
He also noted down the important demands of the district which would be discussed with the Chief Minister and assured that the government is keen to take every possible step which prove beneficial for the people of Mansa.
Later Suresh Kumar while replying to some media-persons queries at grain market clarified that there was no preferential treatment to any section of farmers.
Every single case under the debt waiver has been checked and cross checked by concerned officers minutely and enlisting of wrong names to benefit under this scheme would not be tolerated at any cost," he added.
