High Court Justice G.S Sandhawalia inspects Central Jail Ambala

Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court G.S. Sandhawalia inspected the Central Jail Ambala city on Saturday and sought information about facilities available to prisoners. He also listened to the problems of prisoners on this occasion. During the inspection of the prison, he inspected the machine set up to prepare the chapati by the jail authorities and inspected the bakery unit installed in the jail and reviewed the arrangements where the multiplier of the products prepared there.
While appreciating the taste of finished products in Bakery unit, the unit appreciated the finished products. On the occasion, he also inaugurated the Dun Project Musical Hall, built up in prison by Sony Picture Network India Private Limited. Songs were also presented by prisoners on this occasion. He also planted a plant on this occasion.
Earlier, on arrival at the Rest House, Sessions Judge Vikram Agarwal, Deputy Commissioner Ambala Mrs Sharandeep Kaur, Brar, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jorwal, Bar Association's head Amrish Gandhi and Secretary Raj Mahak Rana and other senior advocates welcomed the Chief Guest by giving a bouquet.
During the inspection of the Central Jail, the judge took stock of the wards, bakery unit, control room established in jail, legal protection and support centre (District Legal Services Authority) and Jail Hospital. He received information from the doctors present about the regular check-up of the prisoners and prisoners in the jail hospital.
Judge GS Sandhwalia expressed satisfaction over the sanitation arrangements including the facilities being provided to prisoners and prisoners by Jail authorities.
