Mohali, July 16,2018: With a view to expediting the reforms in school education, Secretary School Education, Krishan Kumar, today, held a meeting with the District Education Officers and the office superintendents at auditorium of Punjab School Education Board, Mohali.
He took stock of the progress of the administrative works as well as the monitoring being conducted to ensure proper implementation of different projects initiated under “ Parho Punjab, Parhao Punjab”.
Addressing the meeting, Krishan Kumar, said that circulars for ensuring transparency as well as hassle free and speedy disposal of administrative works at the district and block level education offices. Besides, various projects under “Parho Punjab, Parhao Punjab” programme launched to ensure quality education are currently underway.
He asked the District Education Officers to ensure that circulars and directions issued from time to time be implemented at the cutting edge level in letter and spirit.
“The District Education Officers must review the progress of the pending cases, grievances and monitor the quality improvement in the teaching- learning process under “ Parho Punjab, Parhao Punjab”. The special focus should be given to the schools having low academic results, setting up of smart schools, use of e content etc,” said the Education Secretary.
He also asked the District Education Officers to keep in touch with the concerned Nodal Officers deputed at Head Office for redressal of pending cases as well as grievances of the teachers.
Director Public Instruction Elementary, Inderjit Singh, Jarnail Singh Kaleke, Assistant Director, SCERT, among others, were also present.
