Ferozepur, October 16, 2018: The Ferozepur police have booked three person and 40-50 unidentified persons for using foul language against Deputy Commissioner and obstructing in performing the official duty by entering inside the police station Lakho Ke Behram.
The three booked have been identified as Major Singh, Balwinder Singh and Angrez Singh under Sections 353, 186, 120-B, 148, 149 and 188 IPC - Disobedience to order duly promulgated by the public servant.
Giving the details, Pawan Kumar, appointed IO in the case said, a case against Balwinder Singh alias Fouji of village Kari Kalan was booked under Section 188 IPC for violating the instructions of the government by burning the crop residue and Balwainder Singh along with Major Singh and Angrez Singh along with 40-50 unidentified persons have entered the Lakho Ke Behram police station using foul language against the Deputy Commissioner and creating hindrance in performing the official duty.
Added here, stubble burning has been banned which pollute the environment and loss of fertile contents of the land. The farmer outfits had been demanding adequate compensation for disposal of crop residue of Rs.6000 per acre.
