Bathinda, January 22, 2019: Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Adesh University, Bathinda for making collective efforts to raise the level of higher education and to promote research and academic activities in this region of Punjab.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Jasbir Singh Hundal, Registrar MRSPTU and Retd. Col. Jagdev Singh, Registrar Adesh University in the presence of MRSPTU and Adesh University Vice Chancellors, Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and Dr. G.P.I. Singh respectively to establish a close linkage between both the Universities to complement and further for the cause of promotion of technical education, quality research and high end science.
MRSPTU, Dean Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, Dr. Ashish Baldi, Adesh University Dean Academic, Dr. Mridul Pandit Rao, Dean Post Graduate Programme, Dr. R.J.Saini, Controller Examination, Dr. Satnam Singh, MRSPTU Director, Public Relations, Harjinder Sidhu and Finance Officer Mr. Subash Bansal were also present on the occasion.
Dr. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar said this exercise will facilitate both the universities move jointly on academic, teaching, training and research fronts especially in the arena of Medical Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Nanotechnology, Clinical Research and other areas of mutual interest and share their research facilities.
While highlighting the distinguishing features of the document, Dr. G.P.I. Singh said that both the institutions intend to exchange scientific and technical information, undertake collaborative research activities in nationally and internationally funded projects of various funding agencies, offering of joint courses/ supervision of postgraduate and Ph.D. students etc.
MRSPTU, Dean, Dr. Ashish Baldi stated that during the period of MoU, the universities will do their best to contribute in building intellectual capital through research, innovation and scholastic ideas. The organization of formal academic curricula, seminars, symposia, workshops, short-term training courses and exchange of faculty and students etc. will also be part of the agreement, he added.
