Chandigarh, February 20, 2019:As the centenary of the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh nears, Punjab Vidhan Sabha resolved that the state will ask the union government to pursue Britain for an apology.
Members in state assembly on Wednesday stated that union government must take steps to ensure an apology from Britain.
Cabinet minister Brahm Mohindra brought forth the resolution which was unanimously supported across the party lines.
It was on April 13,1919 when more than 300 people lost their lives and 1200 injured when the British force opened fire on the people who were peacefully protesting against Rowlatt act.
