Fazilka March 21, 2019: The District Magistrate, Fazilka, Manpreet Singh Chhatpal has banned the operation of Drone Cameras – unmanned aircraft – under Section 144 of the Criminal Code of Procedure 1973 (Act No.2 of 1974) near the Military Stations and these orders will remain in force till May, 2019.
In the orders, District Magistrate said, the use of Drone Cameras is common during the wedding ceremonies or other functions but there is a threat to peace, law and order and national security. He made it clear that flying of Drone Cameras is a violation of the policy of directions of Operation of Civil Remotely Piloted Aircraft by Director General of Civil Aviation.
Keeping this in view and to ensure to maintain peace, law and order and national security in Fazilka, these orders have been issued, he added.
